The Law Office of Mayor Nicholas Blase

Nicholas B. Blase (1928-2019) was the longest serving mayor in Village of Niles history. He was elected in 1961 and resigned in 2008 after pleading guilty to federal corruption charges.

In 2020, the Blase family donated the contents of the former mayor’s office at 8074 North Milwaukee Avenue to the Niles Historical Society. He occupied the office from about 1967 to 2009. We carefully recreated his office in our museum.
